Little Man turned 18 months old yesterday but the front page story turns out to be the much anticipated visit of our friends Shauna and "The Heidi's" (& Heidi's beautifully sweet daughter Zion). First we enjoyed the retail maze that is Ikea. Our son, not so much (like his dad, not a good shopper) so after a good nap and some yummy ice cream the fun times began for our little boy as he played non-stop with his friend Zion ...
We adults had a wonderful time as well -- sharing great food, robust coffee and compelling conversations which produced joyous tears and hearty laughter all night long:

After a nice restful sleep we woke up to the aroma of burning francenscense and roasting Ethiopian coffee beans as we visited a while longer before we tearfully had to say goodbye (for now):

The pictures of "Turning 18" are adorable. The two little ones are having a great time. I see a romance budding!!!!
